Why the Mixed Signals

Posted in Self Improvement · Social | Email This Post Email This Post | by James Rick

People give mixed signals because they have conflicting forces within themselves. Their thoughts are not in alignment with their body. The body could be in a conversation and the mind could be off in another dimension thinking about worries and concerns. The result of this split in attention is often anxiety or stress. This is expressed as mixed signals because the muscles receive conflicting messages.

Resolving mixed signals:

(1) Take the time to get to know your self better
(2) Slow down and practice the art of being in the moment.
(3) Take a deep breath right when you begin to feel anxiety (it usually starts with a tightening in the stomach or chest)
(4) Have the courage to say what everyone is probably thinking. This tends to lighten up the situation, making it easier to relax and have sincere communication.

The net result of these four steps is a calm, confident and often very pleasing personality.
